ELT Scholarship Fund

Elmira Little Theatre awards an annual Theatrical Arts Scholarship in the amount of
$1000 to a student who is graduating from a local high school and is planning to pursue
higher education. Applicants must demonstrate an active involvement in theatre arts
through participation in school or community theatrical productions either on stage or
behind the scenes and must have plans for continued involvement after high school. This
includes (but is not limited to):

• Majoring or minoring in a field related to the performing arts
• Enrolling in performance/production classes
• Working with community performance organizations

Selection will be based on the following criteria:

• Completion of the Elmira Little Theatre Theatrical Arts Scholarship Application.
• A 250 word written personal response based on the prompt in the application.
• Your involvement in theater arts through participation in school or community
  theatrical productions, on stage or behind-the-scenes as well as non-theater
  school/community involvement.
• Letter of recommendation from a teacher, director or stage manager of a production you have been involved in, or leader from a local theatre group.

Applications must be complete by May 22, 2022 at 11:59 PM. The winner will be announced at ELT’s Annual Meeting on June 14, 2022.
